Helen Hunt has sparked rumors she's engaged to producer/director Matthew Carnahan - after she was photographed wearing a diamond sparkler on her ring finger.

Hunt flashed the jewel as the couple held hands during a romantic walk in Santa Monica, California, on Wednesday. The 45-year-old actress and Carnahan, 48, have been together since 2001 and they are parents to four-year-old daughter Makena Lei Gordon Carnahan. Carnahan also has a son from a previous relationship.

Hunt has previously dated Kevin Spacey and was married to actor Hank Azaria for one year between 1999 and 2000.

Her publicist had not returned requests for comment as WENN went to press.
