The Ting Tings Cancel Gig Due To Power Failure
The duo was scheduled to perform at the city's O2 Academy Brixton on Friday night but organizers had to scrap the sell-out show because of electricity problems at the venue.
And the late notification meant many fans were not told of the cancellation until they arrived at the concert.
However, the group have vowed to make up for the disappointment. A statement from the band reads, "It's a shame and we appreciate the support of all our fans who've turned up. We can't wait for a rescheduled Brixton date."
This is the third time the beleaguered venue has been hit by a power failure in recent months - a January gig by U.K. rapper The Streets was postponed following electricity problems, and the final gig in the Kerrang Magazine music tour was also canceled for the same reason just days later.
