Britney Spears' actress sibling Jamie Lynn is looking to follow in her big sister's footsteps and conquer the music charts - with an album of country songs.

The Zoey 101 star has been out of the spotlight since giving birth to daughter Maddie last year, but she is ready to make a comeback and is allegedly shopping for a record deal. According to E! Online, the 17-year-old is seeking inspiration from her southern roots and has been busy recording tracks in the country music Mecca of Nashville, Tennessee.

The teenager has previously spoken of her desire to cross over into music, saying: "I'll probably do a lot of acting first, then go to singing. But I am going to definitely sing someday. So when I do start singing, buy my album!"
