Madonna has topped a new list of the Worst-Dressed Celebrities - because she refuses to hang up her furs. Thousands of animal lovers flocked to PETA's website to vote for their most disliked fur wearers and Madonna beat twins Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen and Maggie Gyllenhaal to land the top spot.

And PETA bosses agree with the vote: "When you see Madonna in fur, you realize why nobody has copied her style since 1984. We know that she's on the prowl for a young cub, but someone needs to tell Madge that wearing fur doesn't make you a cougar."

Kanye West and Elizabeth Hurley were also named and shamed on the top five list, with Hollywood couple Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, Mary J. Blige, and Kate Moss among the runners-up.
