Hollywood actress Sharon Stone is eyeing a career as an author after writing a collection of short stories.

The Casino star is reportedly looking for a publishing deal to have her work released. Stone insists her tales are not autobiographical or about the movie industry, but are instead a set of mystery "thrillers", according to Fox News.

Stone played the role of a murderous novelist in her famous turn in 1992's Basic Instinct. She revived the role of Catherine Tramell for a sequel in 2006.
