Harry Potter star Emma Watson has proved her academic credentials - the actress has been accepted into America's prestigious Yale University.

The actress is eager to gain a degree and applied to a number of colleges, both in the U.K. and America, to start her studies this year, while continuing her role in the wizard film franchise. Watson was successful in her application to Yale, but reportedly felt torn when she was also offered a place studying English Literature at the U.K.'s famous Cambridge University, according to Britain's Daily Star newspaper.

The publication reports that Watson is now facing the difficult decision whether to study in America or stay close to her family and work by accepting the offer from Cambridge.
