Veteran Heart rockers Ann and Nancy Wilson are to be honored with a lifetime achievement award from a prestigious songwriters' group.
The sisters, the only constant members of the group, will receive the Founders Award during publishing rights group ASCAP's annual pop music awards in Hollywood on April 22nd. Singer Ann Wilson, 58, and guitarist Nancy, 54, found fame in the 1970s with hits such as Crazy On You and Magic Man.
ASCAP president Marilyn Bergman says, "Their success and influence helped pave the way for other female artists, and they continue to build their musical legacy with an artistic energy that remains as strong today as when they first started out over 35 years ago."
Past recipients of the award include Elvis Costello, Billy Joel, Annie Lennox, Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder.
