Kathy Griffin Sells Memoir For $2 Million
The Life on the D List star, 48, sold the rights to her memoir at an auction last week to Random House's Ballantine imprint, reports the New York Observer.
Griffin got her first laughs while touring on the Los Angeles stand-up comedy circuit in the 1980s, before she became a well-known TV personality and landed a role opposite Brooke Shields in Suddenly Susan during the 1990s.
Ballantine editor Pamela Cannon has declined to comment on the acquisition.
