Record Label Dumps Clay Aiken
Aiken sold just 159,000 copies of 2008 release On My Way Here, a dramatic drop from his 2003 debut, which managed sales of more than 2.5 million.
The 30-year-old's representative Cindi Berger claims the split was caused by a breakdown in contract talks.
She tells People.com, "We were unable to come to terms in a recent contract negotiation, and decided that it was best to move on."
