Folk legends Simon And Garfunkel
are set to tour for the first time in five years - after they were blown away by the rapturous reception they received at a surprise reunion gig
on Friday. Paul Simon
thrilled fans at the New York's Beacon Theatre after he introduced Art Garfunkel
to the stage for a gig to mark the re-opening of the venue following a seven-month renovation. And their three-song set went down a storm with the crowd - prompting the pair to put plans together for a possible U.S. tour.
Simon tells the BBC
, "Our plan to work together is coming together but it doesn't go through England this time."
The duo last toured in 2004, their first American trek in 20 years.
