John Travolta And Kelly Preston Coping With Grief Process
But a source close to the family insists they are gradually coming to terms with their loss, so eight year old Ella can live as normal a life as possible.
The insider tells People.com, "(They are) regrouping and pushing through the grieving process. They are trying to grieve and return to some sort of normalcy for Ella. But life isn't normal without Jett."
The devastated actors have also been forced to face the controversy of a botched bribery plot involving an ambulance driver who took Jett to a hospital on January 2.
Tarino Lightbourne allegedly conspired with former Bahamas senator Pleasant Bridgewater to release a document related to the teenager's death. They have both been charged with attempted extortion and conspiracy to extort a reported $25 million from the Travoltas.
The source adds, "They were so hurt by the [extortion plot]. But things have calmed down. Every day it gets better."
