Colin Farrell has split with the writer he reportedly moved to Los Angeles to be with. Emma Forrest has confirmed the couple is no longer dating, according to In Touch Weekly magazine.

Farrell and Forrest began dating in 2008, but the cracks in the romance started showing after the actor failed to mention his partner during his Best Actor acceptance speech at the Golden Globe Awards last month.

An insider tells the publication, "She (Forrest) was also upset that he didn't thank her."

The source adds, "They are still friends."
