The man who was driving The Kills' tour bus when it mysteriously disappeared in October has been arrested in Miami, Florida. The British-American rockers were left stranded midway through their 2008 U.S. tour when the bus vanished along with the band's luggage.
The bus disappeared in Austin, Texas when the driver went to get new tires fitted ahead of a gig in the city. It was found abandoned a month later at a Los Angeles parking lot.
And now Brian Berkenkemper, the man who was allegedly driving the bus at the time of the incident, has been detained by cops and charged with robbery by sudden snatching.
The band confirmed the news with a post on their Myspace.com website: "Hi everyone, remember that guy who stole our bus last October? Well, he's been arrested in Miami for some robbery s---, and for trying to sell public parking spaces for $5. Have a look at his mug on the Miami-Dade County jail website. Good news is, he's alive. The other good news is, he's in jail in Florida and he's bald."
