But the singer has allegedly followed in Jay-Z, Shakira and U2's footsteps and signed a new contract with promoters Live Nation. The deal will encompass her album and concert plans.
And Jackson is already hard at work recording a follow-up to the 2008 album flop - she has reunited with her mentor, producer Jimmy Jam, to take charge of her next project, and she hopes to release it this spring.
