Grey's Anatomy star Eric Dane is trying for a baby with his wife Rebecca Gayheart. The couple - which was forced to deny rumors of a split last year - wed in 2004 and has now decided the time is right to start a family.

During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the actor admits he is desperate to start having children with his 36-year-old partner and they have consulted doctors in a bid to make their pregnancy dream come true. He says, "We're currently working on that (having children)."

And Dane reveals they have been forced to schedule sessions in the bedroom to make sure they have plenty of opportunities to conceive. He adds, "It's funny because you get the doctors involved and they call you and it's like, in eight days (when Gayheart's most fertile) I'll have to put in some work. I will be very busy and I probably shouldn't schedule anything else."
