Pop star Lady Gaga is begging Akon to pass on his fashion tips - she's aiming to follow in the R&B singer's footsteps and launch her own clothing line.

The Just Dance hit-maker regularly hits the headlines for her quirky outfits, attracting hoards of paparazzi as she hits the town in Latex Bodysuits, super-size sunglasses and plastic bras. And she has called on her mentor Akon, who began his Konvict Clothing range in 2007, for advice on how to market her madcap outfits to her fans.

She says, "I can't wait to do my own line. It's definitely something I want to do in the next year as I do have my own style. I'm already talking to my boy Akon about it."

And the Smack That hit-maker is convinced fans will go gaga for the singer's look. Akon says, "People dissed her because of the way she dresses, but she's hot. Everyone wants to look like her. She'll walk around in London in her underwear and you watch, everyone will catch on."
