Representatives for former Guns N' Roses rocker Steven Adler have cleared up reports of the drummer's recent arrest, insisting he was not taken into custody for drug offenses.
Internet sources claimed on Sunday that Adler was arrested on January 26 and charged with being under the influence of a controlled substance.
The news came just weeks after he was ordered by a court to check into rehab in Pasadena, California in December, following his arrest in July for possession of narcotics, being under the influence and for an outstanding warrant. He was also sentenced to community service.
However, Adler's team is adamant the rocker is not facing a new drug charge - he was held for not completing his community service.
Adler was about to register as a drug offender, as per the court order, when he was arrested for failing to finish his community service in the time frame set by the judge.
According to Adler's spokesperson, the rocker was only charged with being under the influence because that was the original charge stemming from his July arrest, reports TMZ.com.
