Britney Spears' ex-husband Kevin Federline has denied he is returning to his roots with an appearance on the hit show Dancing With The Stars.

The 30-year-old, who met his pop superstar ex while working as one of her backing dancers, was recently rumored to have signed up to the reality TV contest for the upcoming season which kicks off in March. However Federline has dismissed the reports, with his representative telling Hollyscoop.com the rumors are "not true."

Former teen heartthrob Donny Osmond is currently one of the prospective stars, after he let slip to TV host Bonnie Hunt: "I'm seriously considering doing it. I guess I just let the cat out of the bag."
