The recent death of John Travolta's son Jett hit actress Jenny McCarthy harder than most - because her son once 'died' after suffering a seizure.

Jett Travolta died on January 2nd after passing out at the family's retreat in the Bahamas, and the tragedy brought back awful memories for McCarthy, whose young son Evan, once went into cardiac arrest after suffering a seizure.

She says, "My stomach flipped (when I heard the news)... Evan also, after a seizure, went into cardiac arrest, where I lost him for two minutes." And she can imagine the hell that Jett's mother, Kelly Preston, went through as she watched paramedics trying to revive her son.

McCarthy explains, "I too watched the paramedics do CPR on Evan, and didn't know if he was going to come back. We did get him back and then he suffered another seizure last year, when we had to put Evan in a coma for four days, so he wouldn't go into cardiac arrest. So I live on that edge that they (Travolta and Preston) have lived with Jett for all those years."
