TV star Howie Mandel has been released from the hospital, after he was admitted with an irregular heartbeat on Monday.

The Deal Or No Deal host was taken to St. Michael's hospital in Toronto, Canada for treatment after he fainted. However his mother Evy has now revealed the star was released on Tuesday.

She says, "He's doing fine. They could have let him go but they said, 'Hey, you know what, let's keep you here overnight. I'm just thankful he is fine and, like I say, it has never happened before."

And she describes the moment Mandel passed out during filming of his new TV show, Howie Do It, as "horrendous". She adds, "I saw him and he just fainted. He just went out. It was just horrendous. I don't know what happened. It was terrifying."
