Sienna Miller Quits 'Nottingham' Over Differences With Russell Crowe
Crowe is to tackle the title role, and that of the villainous Sheriff of Nottingham, while Miller was due to play love interest, Maid Marian.
But the Alfie star has now dropped out of the picture, which is due to begin filming in England in March, amid growing speculation about tension between Crowe and the rest of the team.
A source tells New York Post gossip column PageSix, "Originally the movie was about a love triangle between Maid Marian, Robin Hood and the Sheriff of Nottingham. It is now all about Russell's Robin Hood. Literally, 40 pages of script were redone and now are just devoted to him and his massive ego. It's amazing."
A representative for Miller confirmed she has quit the picture, insisting the actress is "fine and about to sign on to two other movies."
And a spokesperson for the movie denied "these rumors" of tensions amongst the cast, saying, "Nottingham is moving ahead with Russell Crowe and Ridley Scott."
