Nip-TuckWell, the writers of FX's "Nip/Tuck" have done it again - they've created more pure genius. Multiple stab wounds? Memory loss? Cancer? With the continuation of Season Five just beginning, I can only imagine what the writers have in store for us for the remaining episodes.

The episode began by recapping the stabbing of Dr. Sean McNamara (Dylan Walsh) by his crazed former talent agent Colleen Rose (Sharon Gless). One can only begin to wonder how Sean managed to survive the multiple stab wounds, not to mention the extreme blood loss portrayed … but I guess this is why it's TV!

Julia (Joely Richardson) remains in the hospital and continues to suffer from memory loss after receiving a gun shot wound from her lesbian lover's daughter (are you still keeping up?), but seems to be slowing putting more of the pieces back together.

In a dream, Sean makes an appearance at Colleen's memorial service (of course, he was able to kill her with a single stab while bleeding to death). At the service, he looks into her casket to see his own body inside and Colleen standing over him shutting the lid. I certainly hope this isn't foreshadowing some later suicide attempt by Sean.

The craziness of the episode continues when Dr. Christian Troy (Julian McMahon) is examining Liz (Roma Maffia), McNamara/Troy's anesthesiologist, for a possible breast reduction. He finds what he believes is a lump in her breast and asks her to get it checked out. To show his support, Christian goes with Liz to her doctor's appointment only to find out that he is indeed the one with breast cancer. Now believing he is possibly facing death, Christian looks to get his affairs in order, which includes asking Liz if she will take care of his son Wilber in case of his death. She gives him a quick yes answer and vows to remain honest with him, even if this means admitting that he may die from the disease.

Christian and Sean's son Matt (John Hensley) even declares that he's going to attend community college for premed in hopes of transferring to UCLA. We will have to wait and see where this storyline takes us. Maybe he will have another "encounter" with his long lost half-sister? Or maybe he will find another porn star/meth addict girlfriend?

Although Sean's near death stabbing has left him in a wheelchair for the time being, and both Sean and Christian are clearly going through some turmoil over their given situations, they both still manage to find young, attractive women at a bar to sleep with. Some things never change, and that's why "Nip/Tuck" will continue to reign.

Catch "Nip/Tuck" Tuesdays at 10 p.m. E/P on FX.
