Lil' Wayne's 'Tha Carter III' Tops Yearly Sales Without Selling 3 Million
The rapper's hit album crashed into the top of the Billboard charts last summer shifting a million copies, but it failed to make it to three million sales, rounding off the year with 2.88 million.
That's still enough to claim 2008's top seller, easily beating Coldplay's Viva La Vida and Taylor Swift's Fearless, which closed out the year with 2.11 million sales.
Rounding out the top five in America are Kid Rock's Rock N Roll Jesus and AC/DC's Black Ice.
