Hollywood star Kate Winslet enjoyed an underage teenage fling with a man almost twice her age. The Oscar-winner confessed her elicit romance while promoting new movie The Reader, in which she plays a woman who seduces a 14-year-old boy.

She tells New York magazine, "I had a relationship from the age of 15 to nearly 20 with a man who was almost thirteen years older than me. He was very much the love of my life during those years."

Winslet's unnamed ex-lover risked a jail sentence if they had sex before she turned 16 - the age of consent in her native U.K.
