Tom Morello: 'There Will Be No More Rage Records'
Rumors of a new record have dogged the band ever since they reformed in April 2007 to play California's Coachella festival. The group has since played numerous shows, including a series of politically-themed gigs in the U.S.
However Morello insists that fans hoping for an album will be disappointed as he is too focused on his Nightwatchman solo work to record any more songs with Rage Against The Machine.
He tells NME.com, "There are no plans for that (recording new material). We've had a wonderful year and a half of playing shows, and I don't see any reason to not play more shows. The thing is, there's only so many hours in the musical day, and mine are very occupied right now."
Morello, who went on to form Audioslave after the band split in 2000, has subsequently released two records under the Nightwatchman alias, including this year's The Fabled City.
