Trent ReznorNine Inch Nails rocker Trent Reznor has abandoned plans for a 3-D concert film which would have documented the band's current tour.

Reznor lined up an ambitious movie, utilizing technology developed by director James Cameron and intended for release in movie theaters and on DVD. But the project has been scrapped, with the rocker blaming his record label Interscope for keeping him waiting "as usual for months" before bosses turned down his request for them to produce and fund the film.

In a posting on his website, Reznor adds, "We then achieved the impossible by finding alternate production/funding but the timetable is too rushed to get it filmed comfortably with the remaining time left on the tour."

The band end the U.S. leg of their road drip in Las Vegas on December 13th, before jetting to New Zealand for an Antipodean leg that stars on February 17th.
