Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen's recent battle with a "life-threatening throat infection" has failed to end her singing ambitions - the actress is reportedly fronting a new band.

The 15-year-old told friends all about her fledgling group while watching Blondie singer Debbie Harry perform at the Manhattan Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Tuesday, according to the New York Post. And despite being hospitalized with a severe throat condition in October, Momsen is desperate to follow in the footsteps of her TV co-star Leighton Meester and launch her own music career.

A source tells the newspaper, "She looked just like a rocker and kept talking about her band."
