Canadian rock star Bryan Adams has called in cops - over fears he has been stalked by a crazed mother and son.

Adams, who lives in Chelsea, west London, has reportedly been hounded by the obsessed fans for a number of weeks. The pair, believed to be Romanian, first approached the star in a restaurant requesting an autograph, and have since turned up at his home. And now a concerned Adams has contacted police in the hope of warning off the pair.

A source tells London's Evening Standard newspaper, "He doesn't want them to get in any serious trouble, but he really wants to be left alone by them."

A police spokesman says, "We are investigating allegations of harassment by a man in his late 40s. There have been no arrests and inquiries continue."
