Actresses Kim Cattrall ttand Sharon Stone are poised to return to the U.S. police force for a new Police Academy film. Sex And The City star Cattrall appeared alongside Steve Guttenberg in the original 1984 comedy, while Stone featured in Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol in 1987.

And Guttenberg is hoping to bring both stars back for another movie in the film's franchise - more than a decade after the seventh installment, 1994's Police Academy: Mission to Moscow, was released.

He says, "We are doing a new movie and it is going to be great fun. A script is being written and so far it is really great, everyone from the original movies who is still around will return. I know Kim and Sharon have been asked but they haven't said yes yet. It would be really great to have them onboard."
