Richie Sambora and Heather Locklear are to reunite for the holidays - the couple is planning to spend Thanksgiving Day together on Thursday.

The pair split in 2006 after 12 years of marriage, but they've become closer since their messy divorce after going through a series of personal problems. The rocker has been in and out of rehab in an attempt to beat alcoholism and was arrested for drink driving with his daughter Ava as a passenger in March.

Meanwhile, Locklear was treated for depression and anxiety at an Arizona rehab facility this summer, and she was charged with driving under the influence of prescription drugs, following an arrest in Santa Barbara, California, in September.

Sambora tells HollyScoop.com, "We're spending Thanksgiving together, everything is really cool."

And he insists his ex-wife is happy after resolving her 2008 issues: "She's doing fantastic, she's doing good."
