For the first time in her super successful nine year career, BoA, the 21-year-old superior star from Asia, is set to debut an as-yet-untitled American album in the first quarter of 2009. The album was prefaced with the digital issue of instant pop and R&B hit single "Eat You Up" on October 21, 2008 with the video to follow on November 11, 2008. On the same day, the single "Eat You Up" was released in more than 30 countries worldwide with more than 300 digital service platforms. The single and album come on the heels of a career steeped in several international releases (Korea and Japan), multi-platinum sales (over 20 million records sold), prestigious awards and accolades (MTV Asia Most Influential Artist Award), and a number of international endorsements.
BoA is a youthful singer signed to Korean based entertainment powerhouse S.M. Entertainment where at the age of 13 she began a rigorous training that would bring about her already potent singing and dancing skills. By her mid-teens, the stunningly beautiful talent had released several albums in Korea including her highly acclaimed debut ID; Peace B followed by Listen to My Heart, her debut Japanese release. With 14 albums between the two countries to her credit, BoA has decided to take her show on the road… to the United States of America. Basically, she's coming out and she wants the world to know.
The up tempo, dance riot inciting, R&B fueled, pop party hit "Eat You Up" by BoA was released digitally on October 21, 2008 to all major markets with her American debut to follow at the top of 2009. Available on her official website, www.BoAAmerica.com, are two video teasers of the premiere single along with audio for your listening pleasure.
