Rapper Snoop Dogg has offered a word of fatherly advice to U.S. President-elect Barack Obama after unlocking the secret to raising a happy family - by learning how to bake.

The hip-hop star keeps his three kids out of the spotlight by inviting their friends to his home for sleepovers and other family events. And the Drop It Like It's Hot star is certain Obama will win cool points with his daughters Sasha and Malia if he follows suit by becoming a good cook.

He says, "Mr. President needs to learn how to bake a cake. That's points for the man of the house - because I did that. I bake cakes and popcorn and cotton candy... Then they like for you to get out of their face and let them be kids."
