Meg Ryan Wins Germany's Bambi Award
Ryan has been named as the winner of the lifetime achievement for best international actress award in this year's Bambi awards - an annual ceremony for the entertainment industry organized by Germany's Hubert Burda Media group since 1948. Bambi organizers named the star as the deserving honoree because she "made film history" with her fake-orgasm scene in her 1989 hit movie When Harry Met Sally - branding the actress as the "queen of there romantic comedy."
A spokesperson for the awards says, "Meg Ryan is among the most attractive, talented and successful female stars that Hollywood ever produced. Her smile is irresistible, her comedic talent delightful and her performance in When Harry Met Sally unforgettable."
The actress is expected to collect her prize at the gala ceremony in Munich, Germany on November 27th.
