Former Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler dreams of returning to the legendary rock band - as soon as he quits drugs. Adler pleaded no contest to a charge of heroin possession at Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday in order to escape a jail term.
And his attorney, Barry Gerald Sands, insists Adler wants to clean up his act and rejoin the Paradise City hit-makers - who fired him in 1990 because of his drug addiction.
Sands says, "When he gets sober they'll accept him into the band and then they'll do a comeback album and a world tour, that's the dream of Steven Adler."
The drummer was arrested this July after police were called to a disturbance at a Hollywood home. They found Adler under the influence and in possession of drugs.
He subsequently checked in to rehab in Pasadena, California where he is signed to star in new reality show Sober Living.
Adler is due back in court on December 12, where the misdemeanor charge is expected to be dropped if he enters drug therapy.
Guns N' Roses will release their sixth studio album, Chinese Democracy, later this month - their first for 15 years.
