Rockers Led Zeppelin
have confirmed they are to tour under a different name while they are without frontman Robert Plant
hitmakers announced last month that they plan to hit the road in 2009 without Plant, who has opted out of the reunion shows.
The remaining stars, Jimmy Page
, John Paul Jones
and the late John Bonham
's son, Jason, are now auditioning singers to take over vocals.
But after weeks of speculation, the band has confirmed that they will not be using the Led Zeppelin name for the live dates - because it is not the same band without Plant.
A spokesman for the trio says, "Whatever this is, it is not Led Zeppelin. Not without the involvement of Robert Plant."
