Singer Jewel is desperate to start a family now she's a married woman.

The newlywed has revealed she plans to conclude her current touring commitments and then start preparing for parenthood with cowboy husband Ty Murray.

She says, "We want to start a family. I hope to tour next year and start a family." Jewel and Murray wed in August.
