'One Tree Hill' Features A USO Show, More

A typical episode of "One Tree Hill" contains elements of humor, grief and joy all combining to create the storyline fans have grown to love for nearly six seasons. Just in time for Veteran's Day, Monday night's episode featured a spectacular USO show in memory of those who have fought in war as well as those who continue to protect our nation to this day.
Since Peyton and her marine brother, Derek, were both deceived by their father, Peyton took it upon herself to commemorate veterans by hosting a USO show at the Marine Corps Air Station New River in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Fans, family, military staff and cast members took part in the filming as well as spent an entire night listening to musical performances by Angels and Airwaves (AVA), Mia (Kate Voegele) and a sensational selection of "Feel This" by Haley James Scott featuring Enation.
Of course, what would an episode be without the usual drama? Peyton continued her two-sided battle between apologizing to Lucas for her lack of honesty and hosting an immense USO show. Lucas originally forgave his fiancé, but sought out Julian and punched him straight in the face. That night at the USO show, he confessed his frustrations to loyal confidante, Brooke Davis. Fortunately, Brooke set Lucas set and told him Peyton's past love relationship with Julian was merely a "love rebound" and to dismiss any lingering doubts.
As Brooke floated from Sam to Lucas to Peyton, one scene found her pretty close to Peyton's ex, and sexual attraction was definitely in the air. Could Brooke end up with Julian or will Owen finally prove to be good enough for Brooke? One thing is for sure: one person she is willing to fight for is Sam. A troubled, lost and broken teenager, Brooke opened up her house to the homeless girl after Haley found her sleeping in a car. Despite all of the chaos she has caused, Brooke continued to assure Sam she was worth it as a young woman, person and friend. After everything she put Brooke through, Sam treated her house mom to a wonderful breakfast of homemade waffles. In a positive turn of events, Brooke received a phone call from the adoption agency looking to find a home for a baby. But as fans found out near the end of the episode, choosing to allow Sam into her home created unforeseen problems for the wanna-be-mom.
Gigi, Mouth's former high school girlfriend, continued her unhealthy sexual flirtation toward Mouth as she got drunk during an after hour work session. Being the respectful guy that he is, Mouth allowed Gigi to spend the night at his apartment - her in his bed and him on the couch. Not too many girlfriends would be thrilled to find an ex sharing her bed, so when Millicent arrived home to the scene, she immediately left and called Mouth. After months of seeing a sweet, innocent woman, Millicent came out in full force and even let Gigi have it in person.
Last week, Nathan chose to quit Slamball in order to remain healthy for the two loves of his life: Haley and Jamie. While Haley prepared for her singing performance, Nathan stayed behind to rest, doctor's orders. As he took residence on the couch, a special guest came to visit: Quentin. Not back for good, the former Raven's basketball star and close friend of Nathan's hung around the house in order to prove a point. While his constant teasing and peer pressure only riled up Nathan, his friend chose to point out the obvious: that Nathan was given another chance at life. Quentin encouraged Nathan to be the best friend, husband and father he can be to the people who love him most. Yet, in order to do so, he must go after his own dream of being part of the NBA. While I agree quitting Slamball was the most practical choice, I agree wholeheartedly with Quentin. Nathan should not give up his dreams solely because of fear. Is Nathan truly happy with not being back on the court or will his drive and passion lead him to ultimate success?
Stay turned next week as our favorite OTH characters are thrown into an interesting 1940s storyline!
