'America's Next Top Model': Good Times & Windmills

Analeigh, McKey, Samantha and Marjorie were fighting for their chance to be in the America's Next Top Model finale next week. Some took a different method to get there. Samantha thought if she joked around no one would take her seriously and she'd sneak through. Marjorie decided that drinking would soothe her nerves. But, as always, there can only be one top model, regardless of the path she takes to get on top.
Legendary supermodel Paulina Porizkova taught the girls how to sell things using just their looks. She used props like smelly herring, high fashion toilet paper and cell phones. She ordered emotions at the girls and they had to express them in the best model-like fashion. Paulina described McKey as being very model-like, Marjorie as very accessible, Sam as a happy clown, and Analeigh as a good actress, but unaware of her camera.
The girls took this teach to Amsterdam Worldwide and used in it a 30 second commercial. They couldn't use any words, but they did get to kiss Calvin Klein supermodel Mark Vanderloo. But, the commercial wasn't exactly what it seemed. The girls thought they'd be running, outside, and taking Mark's taxi away with a kiss. Instead, they were all inside, running on a treadmill…the kiss part was still included, though.
Paulina and Creative Director Richard Gorodecky thought Samantha was adorable and did well, but found her performance slightly over the edge. Analeigh came across, yet again, as a good actress, but not good enough to be the challenge winner. She, however, got her kicks out of kissing Mark's "soft and voluptuous" lips. Paulina and Richard found McKey's performance to be too forced, leaving Marjorie to be the challenge winner. Mr. Gorodecky described her as "awkward and slightly scary," but not at all what he was expecting, which ended up in Marjorie's favor. She split her $10,000 shopping spree prize at G-Star with Analeigh, of course; but I've got to wonder what the currency conversion rate in Amsterdam is. I doubt they really got $10,000 worth of clothes.
Before the next photo shoot, the girls decided to let loose and invite their boat drivers from the go-sees over to the house to hang. Marjorie decided that drinking would be a good idea as well. The night turned rather crazy. McKey started wrestling with some of the boys while a few other boys were stumbling drunkenly around in the girls' high heeled shoes. According to Analeigh, things started getting messy. Marjorie was making out with the boat drivers and then climbed into the tub fully clothed. At this point, her best bud Analeigh stepped in and kicked the guys out of the house, got Marjorie some dry clothes and they went to bed.
The next day's photo shoot was in the beautiful Dutch countryside with windmills. Mr. Jay wanted the girls to stand out above and beyond their crazy hairstyles and overdone makeup.
Analeigh stood out the most. Her photo was dynamic and very pretty. The judges loved that she looked inspired by the windmill. While some were concerned that she hasn't always taken the best photos, Analeigh proved that she's got it now, and she's got it good. I'm glad she made it to the finals. I hope she wins, but it probably (sadly) won't happen.
McKey's photo was the second best this week. Mr. Jay loved her climbing poses and how she always tried something different. The judges thought her facial features were phenomenal. They claimed she is a great photo model, but does anyone else remember that wretched commercial she did a few weeks back? She needs to improve that if she wants to win.
With only four girls remaining, that left Samantha and Marjorie in the bottom two. Samantha's photo was hindered by the fact that her clogs were highly uncomfortable. Jay said it was too late in the game to have something like that affect her so much. Samantha's last few frames were excellent, but it took a lot to get it out of her. As for Marjorie, the judges said she looked like a UFO. Her photos have been continuing to not be as strong as they were at the beginning of the competition. With that being said, Marjorie was sent home and Samantha made it to finals.
Next week we find out who America's Next Top Model is! Who do you want it to be?
