The scorching Australian outback temperatures almost forced Nicole Kidman into a hospital trip after she passed out during a horse riding scene in her new film.

The pale actress was shooting a scene in epic movie Australia when the unforgiving heat got the better of her.

She says, "I fainted one day... I was on a horse and there was a long way to fall and the guy that was standing next to me was able to catch me. I didn't break my nose or anything."
