British actress Sienna Miller has confirmed her split from married oil heir and actor Balthazar Getty - criticizing the media for making relationships in the spotlight too difficult.

The Alfie star has been romantically linked to Getty since the summer when they were spotted together in Prague in the Czech Republic, on the set of Miller's new movie GI Joe. But the pair was rumored to have split earlier this month. The romance sparked a media frenzy and Miller is convinced that the press interest in their relationship added to their problems.

She tells Usmagazine.com, "I'm single at the moment, and I'm completely happy with that. It's nice not to have a relationship that the press constantly want to scrutinize and discuss."

However, the star insists she is fine with their decision to part ways, adding, "I'm cool with being on my own."
