Brian MayQueen guitarist Brian May is disappointed after learning his contribution to the new Guns N' Roses album was dropped by frontman Axl Rose.

May teamed up with the band in 1999 to collaborate on track Catcher N' The Rye for their long awaited new LP, Chinese Democracy, which has been 14 years in the making.

But May recently found out that his efforts have been removed from the final version of the song. He says, "It is a shame. I was proud of it."

Chinese Democracy is due for release at the end of the month.
