Country star Mindy McCready
is set for a Halloween jailbreak - after serving just over half of a 60-day prison sentence for violating parole. The fallen star will be released from a Tennessee jail today, according to TMZ.com
McCready voluntarily agreed to serve time after she was arrested for prescription drug fraud in June - an incident which was considered a violation of her probation relating to a 2004 drug arrest. That conviction led to McCready losing custody of her two-year-old son, Zander.
Upon her incarceration at the end of September, the 32-year-old singer released a statement, which read, "I am working very hard to put all of this behind me as quickly as possible so I can get back to what I like to do most: sing, write songs, and entertain."
And it appears she means business - reports suggest she has lost 20 pounds behind bars and "looks amazing."
