Actress Brooke Shields is planning to add to her family by adopting in 2009. The mother of two, who has become a champion for post-partum depression, admits she and her husband Chris Henchy are seriously considering adding a third child to their family.

She says, "We would adopt. I think it might be the next thing. I'm starting to think about that."

But Shields insists she won't be following Angelina Jolie or Meg Ryan's examples and adopting from outside the U.S.: "There are a lot of babies out there in our immediate back yard that need families."
