Amy Winehouse's representative has dismissed reports the singer is in rehab, insisting her visit to a London medical center over the weekend was for a chest infection.

The hitmaker was taken to The London Clinic on Saturday, the same place she was treated at for her drug problems earlier this year. The visit sparked rumors Winehouse had admitted herself into the health center in a bid to kick her drink and drug demons once and for all.

But a spokesman for Winehouse, who was previously diagnosed with traces of deadly lung disease emphysema, has denied the claims - blaming a chest problem for the visit.

According to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, the troubled star underwent precautionary scans to ensure the emphysema had not returned and is due to be discharged within days.

The rep says, "Amy is in hospital being checked out with for a chest infection. She is not back in rehab. She should be fine and is expected to return home soon."
