Amy Winehouse Was Director's Favorite For Bond Theme
He tells WENN, "Amy Winehouse always wanted to write the song when I got involved and I felt that was a great idea because she's also from England, like Bond, and I felt she is such an interesting artist. Unfortunately she wasn't able to write the song and when I heard that Jack White was really into Bond movies, I was thrilled; I'm a big fan of his and The White Stripes. It was his idea to have this duet with Alicia Keys."
Winehouse actually started work on her Bond song with superproducer Mark Ronson, but the track was never completed.
Forster is now more than happy with the White/Keys tune, "Another Way To Die": It's not your traditional Bond song and that's what I liked about it because this is not your traditional Bond movie."
