Country rocker Tim McGraw will honor his late baseball star dad by opening the third game of the 2008 World Series on Saturday.

McGraw will walk the ball to the pitcher's mound at Philadelphia's Citizen's Bank Park to kick of the Tampa Bay Rays' game against the Philadelphia Phillies, the team his dad Tug McGraw helped win the World Series in 1980.

McGraw senior died of cancer in 2004.
