Newlywed TV star Tia Mowry's actor husband Cory Hardrict has been hailed a hero after he shielded the star from a group of men who invaded and robbed their home.

The couple, who married in an intimate ceremony in California in April, was reportedly robbed at their Los Angeles home last month. According to website MediaTakeOut.com, a group of thieves entered the house in search of valuables, but were chased off by Hardrict following an alleged confrontation.

Despite Hardrict's best efforts, the men reportedly made off with almost $100,000 worth of audio equipment and jewelry in the heist. The couple was left unharmed.
