Pop star Nelly Furtado has confessed she's a married woman - the singer secretly wed fiancé Demacio 'Demo' Castellon over the summer.

The Maneater hit-maker, 29, made the revelation during an interview on Entertainment Tonight Canada, which is due to air in the country on Friday night. And Furtado admits she is enjoying every minute of being Mrs. Castellon.

She says, "We got married July 19th. I love it. It's a nice phase of my life. I just feel kind of free and relaxed and more in tune with trying not to be so stressed out. (I'm) trying to enjoy things a little more. I'm happy ...I'm excited about the future."

The news comes just days after Furtado was spotted out in Miami, Florida, wearing a large sparkler on her ring finger. The star, who has a five year old daughter, Nevis, from a previous relationship, got engaged to sound engineer Castellon last year after working together on her hit album Loose.
