Green Day have confirmed they are back in the studio working on the follow-up to 2004's American Idiot. Billie Joe Armstrong, Tre Cool and Mike Dirnt can be seen working with producer Butch Vig in a video posted online.

Little is revealed in the clip, but word is the yet-to-be titled album will be out on Warner Bros. records sometime in 2009.
