A man was reportedly arrested at a London airport after threatening to stab former Spice Girl Melanie Brown's husband Stephen Belafonte.

The singer arrived at Heathrow airport in the British capital on Sunday, when she, Belefonte and her one-year-old child were greeted by paparazzi awaiting their departure from the terminal. The couple were then confronted by an unnamed man, who began screaming at Belafonte, telling him "I'll get a knife and stab you", according to website TMZ.com.

A photographer who stepped in to defend the pair was reportedly attacked, when the unidentified man grabbed his clothes and attempted to punch the snapper. The family then retreated back inside the airport where police were notified and made the consequent arrest.

According to the website, the photographers present have given statements to police, who also plan to question Brown and Belafonte regarding the incident.
